Sooner Clinical Research is an
independent clinical research facility located in Oklahoma City. SCR
provides services on two fronts. SCR provides facilities and staff to
oversee and conduct phase II through IV clinical trials for pharmaceutical
companies. SCR also provides similar services to local physicians.
SCR's
physicians are board certified in family medicine, gastroenterology, psychiatry,
dermatology, internal medicine, radiology, and ophthalmology. Some of our
physicians have been conducting research for more than 18 years, while others
have just been awarded their first clinical trial.
SCR has four
full time study coordinators. The study coordinator's role is to manage
the day-to-day responsibilities of the study. These responsibilities range
from finding new patients to maintaining current patients to working with the
monitor of the study.
All of
the trials that we conduct are industry sponsored (AstraZeneca, GSK, Novartis,
etc.). According to
www.clinicaltrials.gov there are more than
6,000 industry sponsored clinical trials being conducted throughout the United
States.
